SUMMER CONVERSATIONS: MERCY
Join us this summer for a series of conversations on the topics of Worship, Community, and Mercy. The third installment of this three-part series titled “Mercy: Loving our neighbors, neighborhood and world’’ will take place Tuesday, August 16th at HubBub Coffee (Radnor Location) at 7PM & Wednesday, August 17th at the First Baptist Church building (17TH + SANSOM) at 7PM. Coffee and refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!
One way the Liberti community follows Jesus is through serving our homeless neighbors sheltering in Norristown's Coordinated Homeless Outreach Center (CHOC). Our next visit will be Sunday, August 21, 4:30-6:30PM. We will provide a steak BBQ and join the residents in a time of table fellowship. All are welcome to join, and we will need folks to bring and serve food, and fellowship with residents. Please RSVP to Nathalie Wilson at: firstname.lastname@example.org
LIBERTI OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT
Bring a friend, a blanket and lawn chair! Come out Friday night for an outdoor movie, free popcorn and glow bracelets! We will be showing Kung Fu Panda 3 at the Harcum College Soccer Field located at 750 Montgomery Ave in Bryn Mawr August 19th starting at 8 PM! All are welcome!
EPIC CHURCH CITY WIDE SERVICE DAY
Epic church here in Philadelphia is doing a city wide service day August 27th and has invited Liberti church to join! Our homeless ministry, Emmanuel is one of 30 sites to choose from to help assist and volunteer in, as well as many other sites that you can sign up to join assist! LIBERTI KIDS FALL KICKOFF
Join us for a potluck meal and to hear about the Liberti Kids Ministry! Parents can hear what’s in store for the kids this year and receive a family devotional guide that integrates with Sunday kids teaching. Kids will have the opportunity to play games and jump on a moon bounce! So you don’t want to miss it! Saturday, September 17th 5:30-7:00 PM
CONNECT TO A HOME GROUP THIS FALL
We look forward to our home groups getting started again this fall, during the week of September 11th-17th. Home groups are small groups that meet across the city and region in people’s homes. They function as our church’s primary way of building intentional relationships, and discerning together what it means to follow Jesus. NEW LIBERTI THEOLOGY BOOK CLUB
Join us for an opportunity to read one enriching book a month alongside of others at Liberti! Along with reading gather for discussion & dialogue at the end of the month. The Book is: "Divided By Faith: Evangelical Faith & The Problem of Race in America" It is available in paperback and kindle versions. You read at your leisure and we discuss at the end of the month. Our discussion is the last Sunday of the month, 8/28 at 5:30pm at the Center City building. Even if you can't make the official discussion, read the book to be part of the wider congregational discussion.
Every Thursday evening over the months of July & August, Liberti Church will open the Sanctuary for prayer & reflection. It will be an open space with opportunities for personal reflection & prayer as well as guided prayer. Plan to join us as we seek to grow as a community in prayer! (Thursdays, 6.30PM-8PM @ First Baptist Sanctuary)
