On Sunday May 1ST, our Center City service, which normally happens at 9:30AM, will be held at 4:00PM, in order to accommodate the Broad Street Run. It will still take place at First Baptist Church (123 S 17TH STREET), with childcare, free parking, and coffee hour after the service.

One way the Liberti community follows Jesus is through serving our homeless neighbors sheltering in Norristown's Coordinated Homeless Outreach Center (CHOC). Our next visit will be Sunday, April 24, from 4:30PM-6:30PM, with dinner served at 5PM. We will provide a Spring-themed feast and join the residents in a time of table-fellowship together. Parents take note!: CHOC visits can be a great opportunity to teach your children about the way-of-Jesus. All are welcome to join, and we will need folks to bring food, serve food, and fellowship with residents.  If you are interested in participating in any way, please RSVP to Nathalie Wilson, or call610.513.7137. We hope you join us!

As Spring is upon us and Summer is around the corner, many families and students begin seasons of travel and transition. With many people away, these new changes bring restructure to Liberti’s Sunday volunteer teams. Whether it be setting up for Communion, playing a musical instrument, or bringing refreshments for Coffee Hour, it takes upwards of 50 volunteers each Sunday to make Liberti Church an inviting community for our friends and neighbors. If you are interested in trying out one of these serving opportunities during this season, please contact Sarah Lewis

The family meals ministry is looking for volunteers! This involves making and delivering one meal to a family in our community that has had a new baby or is in need of being cared for in this way during other family circumstances. If you aren't the cooking type, take-out meals can be ordered and delivered which are equally appreciated. It's a huge blessing and a very tangible way to serve our families at this time as Liberti is preparing for the arrival of several newborns! Please contact Leah Hatton if you’d like to sign-up!

Small Fry teaches children and their parents how to cook healthy meals using easily obtainable and inexpensive ingredients and meets Saturdays at the Marian Anderson Rec Center (17TH + FITZWATER). Through these classes, families learn about healthy eating habits, healthy ingredients, and food preparation in a fun, loving community atmosphere. We meet and review lesson plans at 11AM and the class ends by 2:00PM. The only skill needed is patience. Email Alissa Merlino to get involved with Small-Fry this Spring! Thanks!

One Table is the annual food and beer festival and fundraiser for the Aquinas Center (17TH + MORRIS) in South Philadelphia.  Come join us on May 7TH from 11AM-3PM for mouth-watering Eritrean, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Mexican, Indonesian and American BBQ cuisine, as well as beer from St. Boniface!  The Aquinas Center has been a partner and friend to Liberti since it's inception in 2013.  Funds will be used for summer programs for children and youth.
