*home meeting kick-off week... After a nice summer break, Home Meetings are starting up again this week! Home Meetings are groups of 8-12 people that meet in neighborhood homes to share in community together and learn about the Gospel each week. Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 5th, as we'll be holding in-covenant classes in Center City and on the Main Line. This Saturday, September 14th, from 10:00am - 1:00pm, at the Marian Anderson Rec Center at 17th & Fitzwater Streets. We're going to teach kids and families in our urban communities the value of nutrition by using locally sourced items which are affordable and convenient to cook and prepare snacks and meals. *emmanuel... Liberti partners with First Baptist Church reach out to our homeless friends and neighbors in Center City every 2nd & 4th Saturday from 10 AM-4 PM. We work in two shifts: 10 AM-1 PM and 1 PM - 4:30 PM). We serve, and eat a meal together, offer a reflection on a Scripture passage, and seek to build relationships. Thanks to those of you who contributed to the YoungLives baby bottle campaign that took place earlier this summer. Several churches in the area were able to raise over $12,000, which was used to send teen moms and their babies to summer camp.
