The Gospel of Mark is the earliest written account of Jesus of Nazareth. This fall, we’re engaging this bold and fascinating story through our sermon each Sunday, through reading the gospel as a community, and through opportunities for group study. Whether you’re exploring Christian faith or have been following Jesus for a long time, come discover anew who Jesus is and what he came to do.
Besides our sermon series, there are two ways to join us in exploring Mark:
A one-time seminar on October 20, 2019 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, following our main service at Liberti Center City (123 S. 17th Street). The seminar will provide a brief overview of the gospel and explore its key themes and claims, and their relevance for our living, speaking, and serving in Philadelphia. Childcare, parking, and a light lunch will be provided. Sign up here!
A week-by-week reading plan, taking us through the first eight chapters of the Gospel of Mark, mirroring our fall sermon series. The plan can be followed with as little as an hour of reading each week, or take advantage of additional resources for more in-depth engagement with the text.
