ADVENT & CHRISTMAS SERIES: "THE HOPES & FEARS OF ALL THE YEARS"
In 1865, while serving as a pastor at a church in Philadelphia, Philips Brooks wrote the now-famous Christmas carol "O Little Town of Bethlehem." In writing about Jesus, he penned the famous line "the hopes and fears of all the years are met in Thee tonight." This Advent and Christmas, we'll be exploring how all our hopes and fears - the deep longings of the human spirit of peace, justice, and spiritual reality - are fulfilled in Jesus. Invite a friend and plan to join us! For our Advent prayerbook, opportunities to serve, and more information about Advent & Christmas at Liberti, click here.
EMMANUEL THANKSGIVING BREAKFAST
Join our homeless neighbors for a Thanksgiving breakfast at First Baptist Church in Center City (17th & Sansom Sts.). Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, November 27, from 12 PM - 3 PM to help prep food and set up the dining room. Then, on Thursday, November 28, we'll need help preparing food, setting up, and serving breakfast - you can sign up for one of two shifts, 5:30 - 8:00 AM and 8:00 - 12:30 PM. To sign up, please email Austin Gee.
MAIN LINE CAMPUS: WE'RE MOVING!
Beginning on December 8, our service will be held in the Rosemont Chapel, while the McShain Auditorium undergoes some renovations. Coffee hour and our elementary kids classes will take place in the Main Building, which is directly across from the Chapel. The service will still begin at 11 AM, with coffee hour at 10:15.
CITYTEAM ADOPT A CHILD
Liberti Main Line is once again joining with CityTeam to provide Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children in Chester and Delaware counties. If your family or home group is interested in helping out, we have the wish lists of 30 children whose parents will be unable to buy them presents this year. You can pick up a name at the Connect table on Sunday morning, or email Barb Delp. Please budget a minimum of $50, and bring your unwrapped gifts to church on 12/1 or 12/8.
